Barry,

Thank you for this post. I agree that it’s encouraging to see so many members engaged and willing to step up, and I appreciate the emphasis on civility and respect during the election. That tone matters.

I also agree that increased participation is a positive sign, regardless of how people interpret the reasons behind it. More voices, more ideas, and more willingness to help can only be good for the club.

What excites me most is exactly what you pointed out at the end: getting more members involved and helping them see that there are meaningful ways to contribute. When members feel engaged and see progress, they’re much more likely to pitch in and help move things forward.

I’m especially glad to see roles like Social Media Director and Promotions being highlighted. Outreach, communication, and visibility are areas where I think we can continue to grow and bring new energy into the club.
