Hello Fellow CCA members!
I’ve been a collector for over 30 years with a lifelong passion for casino memorabilia of all kinds, from single chips and complete chip sets to cards, slot machines, and more. My casino chip collection alone now tops 100,000 chips, which my family lovingly reminds me might be a little excessive. I prefer to call it dedication.
Professionally, my background is rooted in leadership, service, and community. I spent decades in a family-owned business as a co-owner of Wisconsin’s largest group of beer distributorships, serving as Miller beer wholesalers in a company my father founded in 1953. I worked in that business from the age of 14 and learned early the importance of people, relationships, and follow-through. Along the way, I also helped run our family’s restaurant group in Kenosha, including The Spaghetti Station and Marina Shores, a banquet and event facility. Hospitality teaches you a lot about making people feel welcome and creating places they want to return to.
I also served 35 years with the seasonal KCF Police Department, retiring as Chief, and spent over a decade on the Board of the Kenosha County Fair Association, including the Executive Board. In more recent years, I built and developed PokerChipper.com, an online collector community, which gave me firsthand experience with modern communication, engagement, and what it takes to grow and sustain a hobby-focused organization.
Today, I’m retired and able to dedicate the time and energy needed to serve the Casino Collectibles Association. I’m fortunate to have the support of my loving wife, Jodi, along with our five children, five grandchildren with one more on the way, and our little guy Jack, a Lhasa Apso who keeps things in perspective. I consider myself a collector first, and I’m committed to helping the CCA grow, remain relevant, and be welcoming to both longtime members and the next generation of collectors.
Looking to the future!
Dan
