I respect your long service to the CCA and your work with ChipGuide and the magazine. You raised valid points about communication, retention, and long-term sustainability. I also agree with your point that growth without retention can feel like a treadmill.

That said, I believe the biggest gap right now is growth and outreach. If we don’t attract new collectors, especially younger collectors and set collectors, retention alone won’t stop the club from shrinking over time.
