Just to clarify, my post wasn’t really about ChipGuide access. It was more about what we can do beyond that to be attractive to the set collectors community. I directed it more toward them than our current club members because I want to hear their opinions, what they value, and what they would actually like to see from the CCA.
ChipGuide is a great and valuable resource and I’m glad it belongs to the club. But I also hear the same thing when I talk to members: ChipGuide, while a strong benefit, isn’t always the “value” we think it is when it comes to persuading membership. If it was, the topic wouldn’t keep coming up year after year.
If we want to grow and truly be inclusive, we need to offer value beyond a single benefit. We need to hang our hat on the whole book, not just a page in it.
