This is an addition to my embedment's collection. I picked it up today via Facebook Marketplace.

It is new to me, and I have to ask, has anyone seen one of these before?

The two chips, which are the same, appear to be RT Plastic, poorer quality chips, with poorly printed inlays, that appear to have reacted with the Lucite heat or chemical.

While denominated as "$8," there is no casino name that corresponds with any of the laser-engraved casino names at the bottom of the Lucite encasement. However, some of the artwork was used by Harrah's, Bally's, Paris and Flamingo, for their 2006 issued Year of the Dog, $5 Limited Edition chips. (Those images here are courtesy of ChipGuide.)

The seller had no real information about how or when these were made or distributed.
