CCA Nominations Announced!

A Faith in the Future

Campaign Statement of Dan Madrigrano
Candidate for Vice President, Casino Collectibles Association (CCA)

Fellow Members of the Casino Collectibles Association,

I am honored and grateful to announce that I have been officially nominated as a candidate for Vice President of the Casino Collectibles Association. I have accepted this nomination enthusiastically, and I am proud to formally begin my campaign.

For over 30 years, I have been a dedicated collector of casino memorabilia in all its forms, from single chips to complete chip sets, from playing cards to slot machines, and so much more. My passion for this hobby is genuine and lifelong. In fact, my casino chip collection alone now exceeds 100,000 chips — a number that my five children lovingly cite as proof that I may be “a little crazy”… though I prefer to call it commitment!

Most importantly, I am a collector first. I believe the CCA exists to preserve history, educate collectors, strengthen friendships, and expand interest in the hobby we all love.

Retired, Ready, and Committed

Now retired at age 59, I am in a position to dedicate the time and energy necessary to truly serve this club. I’m ready to do the work required to help the CCA grow and thrive.

I am also fortunate to have the full support of my loving wife, Jodi, who has had a long and successful career in public relations. She understands something that every strong organization must understand: visibility matters. Outreach matters. Growth does not happen by accident, it happens through effort, organization, and clear communication.

This Election Is About the Future

I want this campaign to remain positive, respectful, and focused on what matters most, the future of the Casino Collectibles Association.

In that spirit, I believe this election is best viewed not as a contest of personalities, but as a vote of confidence in the future direction of our club, a true “faith in the future” vote.

Our Association has been built by dedicated volunteers over many years, and I respect anyone who steps forward to serve. At the same time, I believe it is fair and responsible for all of us to ask:

How do we grow membership?

How do we increase participation?

How do we ensure the CCA thrives long-term?

One reality we must acknowledge is that club membership has declined. I do not view that as criticism of any individual, I view it as a challenge and an opportunity. If elected, I will work hard to help reverse that trend.

A Vision for Growth: Set Collectors and the Next Generation

The CCA has a proud history but our best days should not be behind us!

I believe the future of the CCA depends on our willingness to grow membership, increase relevance, and actively recruit new collectors, not simply hope they find us.

One of the greatest opportunities for growth lies with the set collectors side of the hobby. Set collectors are passionate, organized, and deeply invested in preservation, yet many remain outside the Association. I want to change that. I want set collectors to see the CCA as their home and a valuable part of their collecting experience.

Equally important: we must embrace the next generation of young collectors. If we do not attract younger members, the future of the club becomes uncertain. We must show them the value of membership, that the CCA is not just a name, but a welcoming community, a trusted resource, and a place to belong.

The Convention Should Be a Showcase for the Hobby

I enjoy having a table at the convention and participating like everyone else, but I’ll be honest:

I don’t want to simply attend the show. I want to help build the show.

I would like to be involved with the group in organizing and improving the convention so that it remains exciting for members while also being alluring to the public, generating curiosity and interest in our hobby. The convention is one of our greatest tools for growth, and I believe we should treat it as such.

Closing

I’m running for Vice President because I believe in this club and because I believe we can do more than simply maintain what we have, we can strengthen it and grow it!

This election is about choosing leadership that will focus on outreach, membership growth, and long-term vitality. It is about a shared belief that the CCA’s future can be even stronger than its past.

I respectfully ask for your vote and your support.

Together, we can grow membership, energize participation, and ensure the Casino Collectibles Association continues to thrive for decades to come.

Respectfully,

Dan Madrigrano
Candidate for Vice President
