() This place was originally Farley’s Dude Ranch in the
late 30s. There were stables made of stone for the
horses which were later converted to individual motel
rooms. I remember them still standing in the 70s but
are long gone. Later it became the Rancho bar and had
a crap and a couple of 21 games. During the the war there
was no new construction and the Rancho had the last motel
rooms on the way out of town. The motel did a booming
business and even had working girls there. I remember when
it was the El Rancho in the 70s and had an apartment directly
across the street. The bar is still open and known as Carls.
