Reno day 92
The Piccadilly Bar
233 N Virginia
Reno
1946-1952
The Piccadilly Bar, opened on July 2, 1946, was owned by Leon Harbert, Bill Hoover, and George “Mick” Mixson.
Famous for its Moscow Mules, The Piccadilly was decorated to resemble an old English Pub. Moscow Mules were served in copper mugs and regular customers had their own personalized mugs hanging on the back wall for easy access.
The Piccadilly was sold in 1952 and was renamed the Nugget. In late 1953 the Nugget was sold to Dick Graves and Jim Kelly.
