So the 6-10" of snow predicted for our area turned out to be 1" of snow and a half inch or so of ice. We did get lucky in that the freezing rain was happening when it was over 32 degrees and by the time the temps dropped the rain had stopped. It is 18 degrees out now and the birds sure do appreciate the bird food. At one time this morning I counted 40 birds out there. Tonite it is supposed to get to -3 and that is really cold for hillbilly heaven.
