Reno day 91
Reno day 91
()

I went to Reno a number of times between 1992 and 1997. While I agree with Phil that the place lacked the charm of the older casinos, I had a lot of fun at the Peppermill. It had a very different feel from most of the Reno casinos, but so did the Reno Hilton, and even Harrah's at that point. We watched the Silver Legacy being built, and it also had more of a Las Vegas feel to it. Personally, I enjoyed them all. The only exception for me was the Sundowner, which had a dark and depressing atmosphere. The dealers were not very nice and I stayed away from the place, for the most part.
In the 90's, Reno was a very fun place to go, filled with one and two deck blackjack games, craps tables with triple payment on the twelve for Field bets, quarter craps tables, inexpensive hotels and a casual, fun atmosphere.
