Probably largest CA gambling operation in 1980

Nice post Jim. Nice to see the full second story of the building.

I've done some research on this place. It's hard to believe, but apparently this gambling operation, at its peak in the late 1970s and 1980, may have been the largest gambling establishment (licensed or unlicensed) in California. During peak hours, it had several hundred gamblers. I don't know how they all fit into that building.

Only some of the Gardena card rooms might have rivaled those numbers. The mega-card palaces in Los Angeles did not open until the mid-1980s, the Bicycle Casino in 1984, and the Commerce Casino in 1987.
