A service that I believe is sorely needed is to authenticate chips.

Obviously, this would only pertain to high value chips, and not ‘commons’.

Would the club supports a service that ‘slabbed’ and authenticated chips, but didn’t grade them?

Are there any knowledgeable chip collectors out there that have the expertise to tell real chip from a fakes/mules?

Personally, I believe there are thousands of high value chips in collectors hands that have been altered one way or another that even knowledgeable collectors would have no idea they aren’t real.

This service is sorely needed but the question remains who would do the authenticating?
