
() I always liked the Dirty Bird. it was a one 21 table
operation that was formerly a pizza joint. Charlie
Norris, who designed the reverse side of Kieth’s
Model T token, was a shill there and would sit at
the bar drinking Miller High Life. One time I asked
the owner, who dealt the 21 game, if I could buy
ten of his dollar chips. He thought I was up to
something until I showed him a newspaper article
that verified me as a chip collector. He sold me the
chips. Later he got busted for removing ten value
cards from the shoe. After the place became the
Sundance they kept the casino sign but removed
the Dirty Bird name (see photo).
