() I don’t really care whether the slabbing issue caused people to leave the club or not in the past. I’m trying to address the future, a future where the club itself is impartial but willing to entertain ANY ideas that might improve public opinion and get more people interested in collecting casino items.
That is not the case today. I feel we should remove the anti-slabbing page from the website, reach out to the grading companies to see if they are interested in revisiting the authenticating/grading/slabbing of casino collectibles, invite them to speak at the convention or at a Zoom meeting or both. And then, let’s see what can happen from there. I seriously doubt membership would decline if grading/slabbing were to take place at this point. Membership may not increase at all, or maybe we will see an influx of new members because they can now feel more confident about making major purchases of items they do not have expertise in, but are very interested in collecting.
