Hi Walt- I loved playing those Jennings machines at the
Nevada Club when I lived in Reno in the 60s and 70s.
I believe the Nevada Club was about the only club in
town to use them. A mechanic told me they required
very little maintenance. Up on the second floor there
was narrow passageway that led to Fitzy’s apartment
on a third floor. There was a steel door with no handle-
either Fitz or his wife would let each other in. I never
saw the one arm bandits, they must have been early
on (see hat band). I wonder who manufactured them-
they don’t look like Polk carvings.
