NCR Re: Found in change last week
In Response To: Found in change last week ()

Amazing isn't it, when some of us actually look. Not like I'm getting rich or anything rare, but I found a wheat cent on the floor of a bar, recently. That makes me wonder, how someone dropped it or why it was there in the first place. I'm surprised now when I come across a silver quarter, and I did find one recently. A dime, just as uncommon.

Being that I'm cheap (frugal) and I admit it, I still collect from circulation, like I did when I was a kid. I filled up most of a Nickel book, from slot machines, before they went to TITOs. They are worn, machine worn, coin counter worn, coin roll machine worn, and nothing rare or expensive. Even the war nickels aren't that valuable, but IT WAS FUN. Part of the allure of casino chips is, they are available on the tables, and, most aren't expensive.

Since I think most of us here are in this for fun, not just profit, keep your eyes open for "W" mint mark quarters. Sure you could buy one on eBay, but collecting isn't just buying things.

The list of W mint mark quarters includes two years of mintage. Here are they:

I have none yet. My eyes aren't that good, without readers, but some day? 🤩
