Pick Hobson had Pick’s Club from ‘43 to ‘45 an the Frontier from
‘46 to ‘56. He had many employees who stayed with him at his
various clubs including the Overland where I dealt dime craps in
the ‘60s and ‘70s. One of the bosses worked graveyard at Frontier
and told me he made a fill with his last bag of silver dollars one night
that turned out to be uncirculated 1889 CCs. I imagine even then
they were worth a couple hundred dollars each. Photo shows Pick
dealing 21 possibly at a club called Shorty’s house in Sparks.
