Often when traveling between Carson City and Gardnerville, we
would detour through Jack’s Valley just to see Harvey Gross’
buffalo herd across the road from his house. He raised them
for the meat he served at Harvey’s. We would often stop and
take photos. I was always impressed by the Buffalo stampede
in the movie “Dances with Wolves”.
