The announcement below was posted on the CCA website’s “Forum” message board. I’m re-posting here for convenience –-
I have decided to toss my hat into the ring & run for the open CCA-Secretary position. As you’re probably aware, James Hogg** has been super-busy in his job at Caesars and needed to step down as CCA Secretary a few weeks ago. The now-vacant position will be up for nomination & election along with several other BOD positions. The Secretary election is for the remaining 1-year term of June 2026 to June 2027.
The first step in the process is the nomination form which will be included in the next CCN magazine, arriving in a month or so. I would appreciate your write-in nomination. Assuming I get a nomination and second, I intend to run for the position and, if elected, serve the CCA members as Secretary for the remaining term.
I’ll say more about myself if/when I am nominated. In the meantime, if you don’t know me, there’s a profile of my background, written by Mike Nawrocki, Membership Officer, in the most recent (Fall 2025) CCN magazine (page 14).
Yes, I’ve been around for a while (an “old timer”), but I’m confident I have the ability and time to serve the members well in the position.
Thanks for your consideration,
Bob Pardue

**Also, FYI, James Hogg announced that he will continue to handle the important club raffle at the convention.
