After a string of Chinese owners, Pick Hobson took over
the Cosmo in 1970 and enlarged it to include Bill’s Corner
Bar and I think, another small bar which may have been
the SP club. I was working at the Overland at the time and
they wanted me to deal dice there but I declined. There were
a lot of small bars on Commercial Row in the 40s and 50s
with a lot of foot traffic as you can see from the photo.
