Re: Question about MGM Grand in Reno

Sorry for being so late on this one, I work days during the Summer and don't get here too often. I was doing a search for when Pam gets to MGM Reno. vbg

I stayed there for the ABC Bowling Tournament convention. I was on the BOD of the Milwaukee Bowling Assn. I had very limited funds, but I tried Roulette. When I left the table, I took two chips and the dealer said "Hey, you can't take those!" which of course made it a mission, to play and get a chip, later. I'd guess that this is the first chip that went into my collection, because I didn't start with more for a couple of years. I pretty much lost everything, even with a daily budget of $100, so I ended up playing a whole lot of Keno for a dollar, writing postcards, and drinking free bloody mary's while tipping the waitress a dollar, every one of them. That because my way of staying in the casino and having fun, when I was broke. I had some interesting times, in many casinos, doing the same.

OK the point is, I picked this one up off the table, myself, so I know for sure, where it came from. 1984 MGM Grand Reno. I think that would be March 1984. Not much to look at and I was disappointed after I saved the chip, to later learn that these are generic and have no way to ID the source, except, of course, I was there.

There it is, the MGM Grand Reno roulette table chip.
