Re: Club 116 grin Reno day 13
In Response To: Club 116 grin Reno day 13 ()

Found on Facebook-

On November 14, 1945, a fire broke out in the upper floors of the old E. C. Lyon Building, the Wheel Club (formerly the Odd Fellows Building) at the southeast corner of East Second Street and North Center Street. At right is the new Bar of Music under construction, The Tropics Club, the Reno Printing Company, the 116 Club (formerly the Alpine Winery), and the State Hotel. In the background at left is Parker's Men's Wear, the Clover Club (formerly the Silver Dollar Club), the Elite Café, La Fiesta Theatre Café, the Greyhound bus depot, and the Overland Hotel & Casino.

Below that is another pic I had of the same fire from a different perspective showing the Wheel Club and the Bar of Music under construction, the 116 is just out of view.
