Interesting chips part of gaming history

Regal Station Inc. opened in the mid 1950’s but the name was later changed to Regal Service Station as you can see on the chips. It was not a real casino or attached to a hotel. As the name implies, they operated in “gas stations” with licenses for slots machines. However, table games were also usually present.

There were several of these establishments throughout Reno, NV. The main station was originally located at 2315 E 4th St Reno, NV 89512. Community history, though, recalls another one in Reno around 9th & Virgina, and at least 4 more sites were documented in Reno.

These chips are quite rare and an interesting piece of gaming history in NV.

The history was not easy to find. If there is something wrong, please feel free to correct me. Also please add any other facts not stated here.

Thank you for looking
