Interesting read. The multi-property operators of casinos in Las Vegas, like Boyd, Caesars, MGM, Stations, etc. remind me of a Las Vegas version of Monopoly, except set in the desert instead of Atlantic City.
At $6 million a year just to maintain a closed property like Eastside Cannery, it makes sense to demolish & sell the land, rather than carry it on the books with no offsetting revenue.
