My daughter had a truck a few years ago that she wanted to sell because of bad gas mileage. We took it to CarMax and they offered $5000 for it. She eventually sold it herself for $10,000. If you want to waaaay overpay for a car then go to carmax as they have the highest prices around. You can normally even get a better deal at a dealership. And of course you can always get the same car for several thousand less than a dealer if you buy it from a private seller. As for those who love brand new cars just remember that they are the largest investment you will ever make that will continuously lose money including about 20% the first year.
