I always liked playing at the less crowded North Shore clubs. Now
the Cal Neva and Biltmor (Nevada Lodge) are closed and the North
Shore club is gone. The original Jim Kelley’s Nugget burned in 1980. I
remember they had a display of chips, dice, and other trinkets
embedded in plastic panels on display. They’re closed in winter.
The Crystal Bay is about the only thing left and I never much
cared for it.
