Re: Indian brave chips. ID needed

You certainly find interesting chips. We might be able to help if we know a little bit more about the chips.

Are these paper paste-on chips, or Crest & Seal inlay type chips?
If they are Crest & Seal type chips, are they smooth (like USPC chips) or is there a slight seam between the inlay and the rest of the chip (similar to the jockey chip you posted a while back)?

By the way, the National Golf Association was founded in 1894. The drawing of the women on that chip has them wearing skirts that appear to go above the knee. According to ChatGPT, sports women in the US did not wear skirts that high until the early 1920s. That might help to date these chips.
