If I were given the task to grow club membership, I would look to find
where the club could directly advertise to potential new members and offer
them a direct immediate for their commitment.
If the CCA had it's own ebay store and offered 20% discount at checkout for CCA
members, I would expect to double current membership within a year. The ebay store would
need to have the information in the description and list 50 to 100 chips/items per day.
So... the club would also make all that money besides the new member dues.
How do you list 100 items per day? You pay someone to do it. Yes... The club would need to
actually pay someone. (enter GASPS) Where do you get the inventory?
Don't we have a couple of storage units that need to be organized and downsized?
Could a person donate chips to the club with the idea that the club would sell them and
take a percentage of the sale? Why not... If the ROI works. This would need to be organized,
because we are really missing the boat on income form potential CCA chips sales.
After we get some money in the bank... we can think about adding the long overdue
position of a full time paid Executive Director who will deal with all club business.
