Re: Laughlin (day 3 of 3) grin Small town day 38

The first time I met Don Laughlin was at the Pasadena Fun Fair casino collectable show in 1992. He bought 3 antique slot machines from me. Don was a very serious collector of antique slot machines. In fact his entire slot machine collection was on display at his Riverside Casino along with his great car collection. Don was always a very friendly and socialable guy. Anybody that was going to his casino has probably met him. I always enjoyed sitting around with him back in the day, he had some great stories. I sold him quite a few slots over the years. And got alot of really good chips from him also, including an old Davis Dam chip.

Although Don was the founding father of " LAUGHLIN NV. " He was also very well known in the old Vegas crowd. He was without a doubt a true " Gaming Legend " that had a very storied life. I feel privileged to have known him. His personality was bigger then " LIFE ".
