I would do either #1 or #2, definitely not #3. With one major NCR board postings like slot card related things would be buried by chip things and wind up being useless. Plus I would not use NCR since many people are not chip collectors and it doesn't mean anything to them. So I would definitely keep things separated by category and then only split up where it makes sense.
