Although the Commercial Hotel is well known for its
Polar Bear, the Stockmen’s also had its own bear. It
was on display sometime after 1944 when the name
was changed from the Mayer to Stockmen’s. I’m thinking
it may have been lost when the place was destroyed
by fire in 1957.
