The first time I saw Jackpot was April 1969. There were
three casinos, Cactus Pete’s, Horseshu and Barton’s 93
Club. They were all small joints with mechanical slots. The
Stardust was closed but I was able to get inside and pick
up stuff that was laying around. Diamond Jim’s was also
closed but I found some cases of their ashtrays behind a
convenience store. There were four colors and the guy said
to take them all if I wanted. I only took a few. The 1960
