I googled Nevada Gaming chip rules, which are covered in regulation #12 "(Adopted: 6/87. Amended: 12/91; 08/14.)"
The Nevada Gaming Control Board was established in 1955...I guess it could have taken them 32 years to decide that all chips and tokens had to have the establishment's name on them. Or maybe it just took them 32 years to make regulation #12 into a 6 1/2 page document.
