A.J. was a good friend and an avid collector of Riverboat Roulette chips. I meet A.J. at a CCA Convention probably a dozen years ago. He came to my Table and we struck up a conversation about Mississippi Riverboat Roulettes that blossomed into a cherished friendship. A.J. loved his family (especially his Grandson), he loved fishing, taking cruises ( he probably went on 100 cruises over the years) and collecting Casino chips. He was born in the Bay St. Louis, MS area and he had a cottage there that he loved to visit and fish in the Gulf of America. A. J. was in the service during the Vietnam war but he spent the entire time in Panama as a translator. I loved to hear his stories about his adventures on the many cruises he took. He had some real crazy things happen in the Caribbean over the years. He would call me and we would talk about all sorts of things and the great Roulette chips he had harvested from obscure Riverboats all over the South.
I will miss him but I know he is in a much better place and all of his suffering and medical problems will no longer plague him.
Rest in Peace my old Friend !!
Take care,
Jerry
