Back when LE's were being minted like coins, one of the Colorado casinos had a plan for a LARGE set of $5 LE's. I don't recall which one, but seems like it was one of the smaller places. Definitely in one of the 3 mining towns -- Black Hawk, Cripple Creek or Central City.

The theme was to be "The Colorado 14er's" -- meaning the 58 peaks in Colorado that are over 14,000 feet above sea level. One chip for each of the 58 peaks. Either they decided this was too big an LE edition, or it may have been that the Colorado gaming authority said no to it.

If produced, a complete set would have been $290 in face value.

Anyone else remember this "announced but never made" set of LE's?
