I remember some of the old clubs that lined Main st. in the 70s:
the Kopper Korner, Lyon Hotel, Silver Palace and Owl. Dini’s
Lucky Club was a small narrow bar with one 21 game and a sign
that read, “We stand the sweaters and pay the bettors”. Joe Dini
tended bar and once he gave me some old chips from a drawer in the
backbar. You can still the original area. One time Frank Roza (museum
saloon) and I bought the crap and roulette wheel of of the Silver Palace.
Dick Graves bought the Eagle Club and started his first Nugget there.
I think you have a postcard showing the Eagle Club but I’ve never seen
a picture of the Nugget.
