I first met Howard McMullen (Mac) when he was dealing craps
in a small room off the lobby in the Holiday Inn on 6th st. in
Reno. This was before they built the Monte Carlo (now Diamonds).
I was dealing craps at the Overland and we got to be good friends.
He gave me some chips and drink tokens from Mac’s, a club he
owned on S. Virginia street. He said Bill Harrah used to come in
and buy drinks for everyone. It was his way of promoting his new
club.
