There are a wide range of different styles of "Table" Games being used in Atlantic City Casinos. Anywhere from Totally Electronic machines, Betting terminals with live Roulette Wheels spun by a dealer, Craps Games with betting terminals but patrons still can throw the dice on a small version of a real Craps Table and many other varieties of Hybrid Table Games.
The big draw for all the non-conventional Table games is the level of betting. During the week most "live" Table Games have a minimum bet of $10 to $15 per hand or spin. On the weekends the minimums balloon to $25 to $50 per hand or spin, However the Hybrid games have minimum bets pf $1 to $5 per hand or spin.
Also many of the younger generation of gamblers has grown up playing video games and they are more comfortable sitting in front of a video screen than actually participating in a live table game setting.
Most gamblers with a small to medium budget can't afford $25+ bets per hand, so they are being re-directed to the Hybrid electronic machines.
Unfortunately, I see this trend continuing and at some point there will be a lot less live games that actually require the use of chips.
I love Roulette but I will not play at a table with a $25 or $50 minimum having to use $5 chips.
As an "Old" Gambler I used to love being on a Craps Table when there was a "hot" shooter making lots of passes - there is nothing in a Casino that matches that experience when the entire table go wild !! I don't see that experience happening on a Hybrid game.
Take care,

PS - I am now a slot machine player and my excitement is getting a hand paid jackpot !!
