Several years ago, I was asked to put together some displays of original collectibles and artifacts from the Fabulous Stardust in a shadow-box-like wall hanging format.

Initially, I made 7 different hangings and over time, ended up making at least double that. The other day I posted images of the ones I did that were purposely about the AKU AKU restaurant at the Stardust, and thought I would share images of the others, in a "Casino Display of the Day" format, but not every day. This then is my first CDotD post.

Shown below is a wall-hanging plaque that contains an original Moby Dick restaurant box of matches (CG114333). The match box is suspended in a clear snap-close case, with a mono-filament line (fishing line), so as not to harm the match box with glue or tape. At left is a 5" x 7" image of the inside of a Stardust matchbook, which lists several Stardust restaurants, including Moby Dick. Above the matchbox is a photocopy of a Moby Dick scene copied from a Stardust brochure.
