Just a heads up about Leonard Baxley, who claims he is selling a number of silver strikes and maybe other silver items. Anyway, he contacted me concerning selling his collection of strikes. He made it sound as if he had 'hundreds' of them. I could never get him pinned down as to what exactly he had. He was vague in all of our conversations, but it sounded like he was eager seller.

So, I made a plan to drive to South Carolina from Iowa to look at and maybe purchase the tokens. With a large collection, I wanted to actually see what I was actually buying. Plus the fact that I could never pin him down to what exactly he had. I drove most of the way on Monday, with the plan to drive the rest of the way on Tuesday, and meet him to look at his stuff. We were going to meet in Columbia, he lives in Charleston. Here is the note I received from him on Monday:

hey dan i let you know exact address when i figure out what office space place i ger for us to meet at so we both can feel safe and comfortable. there is one on bull street in columbia i looking to get but want know for sure til tommorrow . think a office area is better then meeting a some other business with all this and give us the time needed to get this taken care of . Let me know if you have any questions or better idea then what i call office location rentals places by the day. thanks looking forward to meeting you

This was the last communication I received from him. I even tried to call him several times using the phone number he had given me. Each time the message was that the person was not available. I have not heard from him since.

I think he also selling on eBay, but I do not know his ebay user name.

So, just a heads up that if you have any dealings with him, I would make sure that you pin him down on all aspects of any deal you might work out. My last communication to him was that if wanted to sell anything to me, he needed to mail it to me first, then we could work out any pricing/payment. So I doubt if I ever hear from him.

My opinion is that he can't be trusted, and may or may not have the items he claims to have.
