The poster stated the following on several Facebook Groups for casino memorabilia related discussions...
"Hey everybody. I need help. I need an honest buyer or someone to advise me how to sell.
I think i have something pretty collectible. I was gifted a set of casino chips, by a dear friend. She is the daughter of Jack Villaudy, from France, who worked at the Sands Hotel 1959 1964. Jack introduced Baccarat to Mr. Entratta. Her grandfather was Albert Villaudy, who owned the Bar of Music, a major entertainment bar in LA, where Frank Sinatra frequented. Albert was also from France, he is buried in Las Vegas.
Both Albert and Jack were gamblers. So, these chips were her toys, shes had them for at least 66 years. I believe they were Alberts, given to Jack, who, in turn gave them to his daughter to play with. They are from France, mother of pearl, i believe hand carved, pretty exquusite. There are two different insignias, she does not remember why, but the chips have an amazing history.
Can anyone help me with more info on who made them and what they are worth? Thank you, i look forward to hearing back!"
I am in touch with the poster and she will be watching this thread.
