There must be quite a motivation for hard-core bottle collectors to pay $100 for early-bird entrance for Friday afternoon, since Saturday and Sunday entry is only $5 per day. Does the really good stuff/rare stuff get snatched up quickly or something?
Is the $100 charged to non-members only, or also to bottle club members?
Are the chip collector-dealers you mentioned (Campiglia, Freitag, Meyer and Judge) dealing ONLY in antique bottles, or do they bring casino chips, casino ashtrays, etc. too? What I'm curious about is (a) if there's crossover interest in casino items at the bottle show (with intersecting interest in Nevada history, for instance), and (b) if the bottle show operators are "liberal" in allowing non-bottle items at dealer tables vs. "restrictive" to bottle-only related items?
I know you're well connected (past-President!!) in the bottle club world, so I'm interested in understanding how things work in that segment of collecting.
Just curious how the national bottle club works, since it is about the same size as CCA, if I have my facts straight?
If I were in Reno, or nearby, I would attend in person.
Thanks in advance for response.
