to my post or Joel but it doesn’t matter as we have moved on. It would be nice if civil discussions could take place, but mudslinging not for us. I guess it’s just too controversial of a topic. I personally think it would be a good idea to offer grading, but understand the hardships of really getting a trusted authority who is bonded and knowledgeable. It may be impossible for the hobby because just doing grading randomly without full support to me would be a waste of time. So to some extent, I agree with Jim and I agree with many who oppose slabbing too. They’re good points to both sides. That’s why I think it should always be open to debate. I would still support it if there was a way to do it and if we could all come together, but it looks to me like that next to impossible. So chip collecting and the hobby will be fine but never reach its full potential. We personally will no longer buy expensive chips. Just have some fun with it and stay in contact with many friends we have made in the 30 plus years of collecting.
