In the 1980’s, I had a job interview with the Vice President of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. When I showed up, his secretary told me that he wasn’t back from lunch yet, so I wandered into the casino and started playing a dollar poker machine. I hit a few hands and then suddenly felt that I had lost track of the time, so I grabbed a bucket and scooped up all my tokens and ran. The VP, Jerry Gordon, just stared at this college kid in a suit and a tie holding a big tub of dollar tokens, asking him for a job. No, I didn’t get the job.
