This is my response to some here and to a couple of e-mails that I received this morning. Apparently, the anti-slabbing supporters are very strong in their beliefs.
In regards to casino chips, I am NOT advocating getting all chips slabbed. If a legitimate grading service and market were available, I would probably only get my very expensive chips graded, of which the number of these chips I own can be counted on one hand.
What I am saying is too bad there aren’t legitimate chip grading companies, as well a market for them, in existence because it would greatly increase the value of everyone’s collection, whether slabbed or not.
Most big-time investors want their expensive collectible investments protected and graded by a legitimate company.
I thought I made that point clear, but apparently not..
