Re: Latest news about Buffalo Bill's in Primm.....

Sad to hear about the fate of the Primm Nevada casinos, which is on the heels of the closure of both casinos in Jean, Nevada some years ago. But conditions change.

It's ironic that Buffalo Bill's won COTY this year for their $5 "Bonnie & Clyde death car" chip. With no live games anymore, these chips are no longer available anywhere (non-existent tables, nor purchase from the cage).

I drive by these properties every time I come or go to Las Vegas, but there's little to stop for other than a "pit stop" if necessary. I don't even need gas (from LA area) to LV at all. The last time I was in Buffalo Bill's, they were preparing for a Banda music event. It seems their lineup is predominantly Hispanic / south of the border / south American oriented, which is a good niche to serve. Sorta like the Lucky Club in North Las Vegas, that converted to Ojos Locos Cantina y Casino.

IMO, all but Primadonna casino will close permanently, and maybe even torn down unless they can creatively convert to something else. I actually heard a suggestion (facetious, I'm pretty sure) that Clark County should purchase and run it as a homeless (or "unhoused" if you prefer) shelter. Who knows?

As to the video attached to the article on the high-speed train, IMO it will not be successful, except in the special case of hauling Summer Olympics visitors from LV to LA. I'll expound another time, if anyone's interested.
