The Riata, which means rope or lasso in Spanish, and later
re-named Silver City was a strange place in the 70s. The
front part of the casino resembled a jewelry store with a
bunch of showcases offering various jewelry items for sale.
As it turned out it was all stuff that was stolen in the Los
Angeles area.
