The subject line is a tease for 2 sets of chips I acquired recently. The pic below shows the initial chips "NHS" in beige and "AGA" in dark blue, both on a "T" mold. (However, it may be a modern version of the T-mold done somewhere (?), not the original Taylor & Co. T-mold out of Chicago. Hard to tell.)
NHS stands for Nevada Historical Society; AGA stands for American Gaming Archives. Both are non-profit historical organizations (AGA is part of NHS). Located in a corner of the U.Nevada-Reno campus. But they are closed for a year doing renovations, with re-opening date targeted for June 2026.
If you have seen their small but wonderful museum before, you know it's worth seeking out when in Reno. Very fascinating for casino history buffs like me!
I got the 2 initialed chips out of a "goodie bag" from a recent fundraiser they held. (I didn't attend, but bought a ticket in support. The chips / goodie bag were hand-delivered to me at the convention. Much thanks to the special "courier".)
If you want more info on NHS and AGA, here's 2 links (below) plus a 3rd link from C-SPAN with a 12-minute interview/tour back in 2019. Conducted by CCA HoF's own Howard Herz. Worth watching, if you haven't seen it already. Enjoy!
