Some donations may have stipulations placed on them, such as NOT selling or giving them away (ie, they are to be part of the museum for display/research only). I plan on making sure we know of any stipulations like that for every item in the club's possession so the club doesn't do something it shouldn't.

But yes, I see no reason that undesignated donations without such stipulations couldn't be used to incentivize new members to join or recognize long term member anniversaries, for instance. These are all decisions that would have to be discussed and approved by the board, of course.
