This place was originally the Corner Saloon, then the
Corner Hotel, Golden Bubble, and Sharkey’s. It looks
like the first three were the same building. Not sure
about Sharkey’s. I remember playing “21” on the lone
“21” game at the GB. They had a bonus if you got 6-7-8
in spades (I think) you got the contents of a box of
dollar chips that the dealer added to whenever she got
blackjack (I think). They also had a roulette and crap
game as well as $5000 limit Keno and a buffet. I thought
it was a neat little place. I used to enjoy listening to
Sharkey’s Begovich tell gambling stories when he took
over.
